Sound designer and artist Echo Season returns with Expanse 3 rounding out the series with the final installment of the trilogy.

Expanse 3 brings the themes and timbres explored in the first two iterations full circle, with an emphasis on immediate and playable presets that spark creativity and ignite the imagination.

Consisting of 110 presets, Expanse 3 takes us to the remote regions of the Milky Way, with luscious slowly evolving pads that reach deep into the cosmos, extracting a range of textures from warm and vintage to cold and futuristic. Complex layered soundscapes provide endless motion, evoking the mystery of space and yet-to-be realized technologies.

Dynamic poly synths and delicate plucks span a wide sonic palette, from retro to ultra-modern. Crystalline bells and fractured keys provide a versatility that goes far beyond ambient. Long and nuanced cinematic leads evoke both well known science fiction classics as well as forward thinking timbres.

Filling out the set are a plethora of instantly usable arpeggios and sequences, running the gamut from pillowly plucks and ethereal vocal chops to modular explorations. Deep sub basses underline the set with unique character and analog presence. Capping everything off are inspiring widescreen sci-fi transition effects.

This Omnisphere library draws heavily from the historic milieu of genres such as Psybient/Psychill, Downtempo Ambient, and Berlin School. Fans of labels such as Synphaera, Ultimae, and Ensancha El Alma Records will find lots to love and explore.

All presets include carefully considered assignments for modwheel, velocity and aftertouch, with levels balanced to sit between -4 and -2dB. In addition, the set includes 15 custom Reverb Effect Racks that range from subtle treatments for leads and keys to long, lush reverbs for deep space excursions. Omnisphere v2.8 is required and a PDF guide is included for easy installation.
