🌎 New Earth Has Arrived — A Celebration of Sound, Spirit, and Omnisphere 3!

Oh, it feels so good to finally say this out loud: New Earth is here! 🍁

This one’s been growing quietly in the background for over five years — like a forest waiting for just the right sunrise. And now, under the bright new dawn of Omnisphere 3, it’s finally ready to breathe, sing, and shimmer in your studio.

If you’ve been following Rocky Mountain Sounds for a while, you’ll know I never stop nurturing my sonic creations. Every patch, every sound source, every idea starts as a seed — and New Earth might just be my most organic collection yet.

🌿 Rooted in Nature. Raised on Wonder.

New Earth was born from my field recordings here in Western Canada — rain trickling through old cedar forests, thunder rolling over distant peaks, winds whispering through alpine lakes. I processed those moments of nature into musical elements: textured birdsong winds, flowing streams, atmospheric thunders, and breathy vocal winds created by yours truly.

And then came the instruments — the heart of it all.

The Tarka flutes, the wood flutes, the earthy “nut” shakers, and a few mystery synths that got lovingly resampled into something uniquely “New Earth.” Oh, and Omnisphere 3’s new deeply sampled flute? It fit like it was meant to be part of this journey all along.

🎶 A Little Bit of History (and Mystery)

Believe it or not, New Earth was actually conceived around the same time as Dystopian Rains and Polar Ice X. Graphic wizard Darin Leach — the same artist behind the RMS logo — designed all those covers together, including one that hasn’t seen the light of day... yet. 👀 (You’ll get a sneaky peek in the user guide!)

Together, these collections form part of a small but mighty family I call Genesis Elements — each one built around the raw recordings of the world around us, brought to life through Omnisphere’s limitless engine.

Built for Omnisphere 3 — and Beyond

Here’s where things get really fun.

I had the massive privilege of being part of the Spectrasonics Omnisphere 3 Beta Team — helping test, shape, and refine this incredible new chapter of our favorite synth. So naturally, New Earth became the perfect way to celebrate that journey.

With Omnisphere 3’s fresh FX engine, patch mutation tools, and deep sample support, you can explore sounds that truly feel alive. And to kick things up even further, New Earth is also the first third-party Omnisphere 3 library enhanced for PlugInGuru Unify 2 — with a gorgeous visual interface, immersive imagery, and 10 custom Multi FX templates that turn Omnisphere into a dreamscape of possibilities.

It’s like plugging your synth straight into the aurora borealis. ✨

🔮 Play. Explore. Mutate. Create.

Load up a New Earth Multi, and you’ll instantly be surrounded by shimmering reverb spaces, lush stereo delays, and atmospheric textures that seem to float around you. Then — swap in any patch from New Earth, or even your favorite factory patch, and watch it transform.

Want something otherworldly? Hit that new Patch Mutate button in Omnisphere 3 and see what grows from the DNA of your favorite RMS patches. The possibilities are infinite (and occasionally weird in the best way).

🎁 Bonus Treat for My Fellow Explorers

To celebrate the release, I’m preparing a special free gift exclusively for everyone on the RMS mailing list. It’s my way of saying thanks for sticking with me on this wild, musical adventure from the Rockies to your studio. Keep your eyes on your inbox — it’s coming soon!
